About Steinbeck Peninsula Equine Clinics and the ABVP Residency
At Steinbeck Peninsula Equine Clinics, the size and diversity of our staff provide excellent mentorship in our state-of-the-art hospitals with experienced and board-certified veterinarians. Our values focus on consideration for our clients and colleagues. We are a committed, collaborative, and compassionate team, and we just happen to work in one of the most beautiful places in the world, the central coast of California.
We are looking for an ABVP Resident to join our team! The ideal candidate for this position will have completed a one-year equine internship, but not necessary if they have previously been in equine practice and graduated from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school (for additional requirements, please visit AVMA ECFVG). The ABVP Residency at Steinbeck Peninsula Equine Clinics offers competitive pay, benefits, and relocation reimbursement.
The ABVP Residency is a 2-year training program that allows a veterinarian to acquire advanced knowledge and skills in a species-specific practice under the direct supervision of an ABVP Diplomate and/or other Diplomates, specialists, and mentors. The objective is to promote proficiency in the science and art of veterinary medicine, surgery, and related disciplines and to provide opportunities to pursue careers in clinical and specialty practice, teaching, research, and/or public service. A residency can also be valuable for current practitioners who desire to increase their knowledge and clinical skills.
